In this important decision, the Supreme Court has said that if children do not take care of the parents, then the gift deed of the property in the name of the children by the parents can be canceled. This decision has been given under the maintenance and welfare of parents and senior citizens, which will help in preventing this wrong flow of neglect and misconduct of the elderly. Because this wrong flow of thinking has not only made the lives of the elderly enemies but has also increased the emotional distance between man and humans.

The Supreme Court said that the High Court adopted a ‘strict approach’ of the law, while a generous approach was needed to fulfill the real purpose of the law. The decision came on the plea of a woman in which she demanded the cancellation of the gift deed made in favor of her son as the son refused to take care of her. The decision of the Supreme Court will lead to the idea of developing the thoughts of the elderly people in the society to develop the thoughts of the elderly, abuse and the tragedy of indifference being taken towards them so that the health, indispensable and frustrated life of the elderly can be managed. He said that its provisions should be interpreted generously to protect the rights of senior citizens and not in narrow sense.
