The T20 Mumbai League is returning after 6 years and will be played immediately after IPL 2025. The league will conclude on 8 May.
In the list of icon players of this league, the Mumbai Cricket Association has placed Suryakumar Yadav, Shreyas Iyer, Ajinkya Rahane, besides Sarfaraz Khan, Shardul Thakur, Prithvi Shaw, Shivam Dubey and Tushar Deshpande. MCA President Ajinkya Naik said that we are happy to make the names of 8 iqal players who have made Mumbai a lot of pride with their performance at the domestic and international level. They represent the spirit and legacy of Mumbai cricket. The MCA has made it mandatory for all its Indian players to participate in the T20 Mumbai League. The MCA recently declared India’s ODI and Test captain Rohit Sharma as the face of his league. An MCA official said that all Indian players playing for Mumbai have been informed that they will have to play in the T20 Mumbai League, which will start after the IPL. This is mandatory until a committed or injured player for India leaves it.
At the same time, MCA will pay Rs 15 lakh to all Indian players in addition to their auction amount. The source said that, the Indian players will be given Rs 15 lakh separately as the initial participation by the association, as well as they will earn separately from the auction fee.
