The 26/11 Tahwwur Hussain Rana, who was being questioned by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in connection with the Mumbai attacks, told the investigators that even after leaving the Medical Corps of the Pakistani Army, he continued to wear his uniforms while meeting people associated with Lashkar-e-Taiba’s henchmen and people associated with ISI, the intelligence agency of Lashkar-e-Taiba. Citing NIA sources, the report said that Rana is a resident of Chichavatni, a village in Punjab province of Pakistan and his father was a school principal.

He studied at Cadet College Hassan Abdal, where he met David Coleman Headley (Dawood Saeed Geelani), who is a Pakistani-American-American-American-American and currently in a US jail. Sources told NDTV that after leaving the medical degree, Rana used to regularly go to terrorist camps in his military uniforms and had relations with terrorism groups including Lashkar-e-Taiba (LET) and Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI).

The investigation has also revealed that Rana maintained regular contact with global terrorist and India’s most wanted fugitives with Sajid Mir. Mir is said to have been a prominent operator during the 26/11 attacks and he is accused of plotting the siege of Chabad House in Mumbai, killing six hostages. The United States has announced a $ 5 million reward for information helping to catch Mir. In 2022, India presented an audio recording to the United Nations, in which Mir was imprisoned while allegedly coordinated with the attackers during the siege.
