There is heavy firing from machine guns and rifles. Last night also there was heavy firing between Pakistan and Taliban fighters. According to media reports, eight Taliban fighters were killed in this attack. 16 were injured. Two commanders were also among the eight Taliban fighters killed.
The Pakistan government has strongly reacted to an official of Afghanistan’s Taliban regime sitting during the playing of the Pakistani national anthem at a government event in the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) region. Pakistan’s Foreign Office also called the act ‘reprehensible’ in an official statement, reports Dawn. The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government had organised an event in honour of Prophet Mohammad on the occasion of Eid-e-Milad. Officials and scholars from different sections of Pakistani society were invited to it.
