Tamil Nadu: Three accused arrested for killing two youths

Three people have been arrested in connection with the murder of two youths, including a college student, allegedly a college student, due to former rivalry in Mayiladuturai, Tamil Nadu. The police gave this information on Saturday.

Police said the victim’s friend was attacked by three people from the same village and they went to save him. One of them suffered a stomach injury, while the other was hurt on his back. Expressing strong objection to this double murder, AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi’s Palaniswami demanded Chief Minister MK Stalin to order an inquiry into the reasons for the murder and take strict legal action against the culprits.

Palaniswami said in a post on the social media forum X, “I request Mr. MK Stalin to focus on public service instead of promoting himself.”

BJP state president K Annamalai said that on trying to stop the sale of liquor in Muttam village, the killing of two youths, including an engineering college student, was deeply shocked by liquor traders.
