Guest Devo Bhava: In the Indian rite, the guest has been given the status of God, but the crimes, sexual misconduct and adultery happening with foreign guests are defying this. Despite all the efforts, the crimes against foreigners are not decreasing, the Indian people were shocked to hear the incidents of cruelty with two such foreign women. The case of gang rape of two women, including Israeli tourists in Hampi, Karnataka, did not even cool down that a disgusting case of misconduct with a British tourist has come to light in Delhi. Such incidents occurring after a small interval are not only embarrassing but also staining the rites and identity of India. In recent times, there has been a flood of sexual offenses in India. It is natural to raise questions about all these incidents of disgusting sexual offenses not only with foreign but Indian women, what is the reason for this moral defeat? Somewhere it is also a sign of erosion and distorted mindset in life values. Actually, there is a flood of pornographic materials on the Internet and some social media platforms. The youth of the country are growing in the path of disorientation in the grip of it, which should be the priority of the government and administration and an atmosphere of social awakening should also be created.
Surely, such disgusting and abusive acts with foreign women are going to tarnish the image of the country. The incident of Hampi was frightening, in which three tourists who were camping at night were thrown into the canal and three criminals gang -raped the Israeli woman and an Indian woman. Both women were admitted to the hospital. At the same time, a tourist thrown in the river died, whose body was recovered. Among tourists were one American and two Indians. The miscreants not only raped but also beat and looted. Although the three criminals have been arrested, it is not possible to compensate for the country’s reputation. This not only tarnished the image of the society, but has also impacted the international reputation of the country. This can hurt Indian tourism, it is very possible that foreign governments should issue any negative advisory regarding tourists coming to India.

Social scientists will have to introspect that despite strict laws on sexual offenses, why is it not able to curb this criminal tendency? India’s image abroad is constantly being mutilated due to sexual criminals. Incidents of sexual misconduct are often heard at deserted tourist places. But the case of rape of a British tourist in a hotel in Delhi is more concerned. A young man called the British woman who came to India to visit India after friendship on social media and raped a hotel. The British Embassy has taken cognizance in this case. The question is that when any such criminal incident occurs and public anger emerges and the matter takes on, then why does the government, administration and police sleep? If the same activism is maintained even in normal conditions, then perhaps a fear of legal action can be made within a person with a criminal tendency and thus such crimes can be prevented in advance.
How long will this insensitivity and vandalism continue towards foreign women? India is growing rapidly on the path of development, but still in many parts, there is a misconception and distorted thinking about foreign women, which blur the glorious culture of India. The incident of rape of British tourists in the country’s capital Delhi has once again shared us. The big question is, why are we still not able to seek the violent mindset of crushing women identity? Why the identity and existence of the woman is insecure despite the new and strict law? Why our cities are being called ‘Rape City of the World’. After all, how long will these poor and tragic events happen to women? Who would believe that this is the same Delhi, which was so agreed on the ruthlessness with Nirbhaya about three decades ago that he had come out on the streets to get justice. These incidents are a bad stain for educated society. If such incidents continue, then no one will fear the law and a situation of chaos will arise. No matter how much the laws are, nothing can happen until the society gives respect to women themselves. If the society will remain a spectacle, then who will stop the hallmark, the rape, the rape.
As the country is moving towards modernity, there is an exercise to create a new India-power India-educated India, although new methods and figures of violence and sexuality on women are also increasing. There are ways of sexual exploitation and violence in the name of illegal trade, intention of taking revenge, cyber crime, online friendship and live in relation. All Dhritarashtra, Duryodhana and Shakuni remain. Neither the Gita is going to recite, nor the listener. Everyone is ripping Draupadi. The whole country is in the character crisis. When the mentality of the society is unhappy, then there are misdeeds and evils. No ideal message can be given to the nation. Whenever there is a repeats in spite of many claims of such dreadful, tragic and scary incident, it raises many questions on our explorers.
The question is, when will we be able to control the incident of looting the woman’s disaster and the violent mentality? When will we be able to develop the eligibility to provide safe and respectable hospitality to foreigners? It is regrettable that people from all over the world are urged to come to India with new slogans and proclamations, but such dreadful and scary incidents with women visiting India from abroad are not only anxious but unfortunate. The big question is that the image of India should not be stained abroad, for this the government will have to be strict. The ‘guest Devo Bhava’ and ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ which have been cited in India, it is truly the responsibility of the government and administration to take or ensure it on the ground. For an ideal-governance system, creations and civilized country and society, frequent such incidents will also be said to be embarrassing. Every person should be bound by a minimum code of conduct, disciplined. The system that does not bind with the discipline based code, comes down from the stairs of disintegration.
