A large number of anarchist elements are running the business of preparing fake Aadhaar and other necessary documents for infiltrators like organized crime, in return for which they not only get a huge amount, but the fundamentalists also dream of Ghazwa-e-Hind. The number of Muslim infiltrators is increasing year after year in the state. Five years ago, the police had conducted a survey to identify Bangladeshi and Rohingya citizens residing illegally in the state. Then the police had estimated that more than 10 lakh Bangladeshi and about 3 thousand Rohingya citizens are residing illegally in the state. Police officials had claimed that about one lakh Bangladeshi citizens have made their home in Lucknow alone. Their gathering can be seen in many areas like Akbarnagar located on Faizabad Road in Lucknow. These areas are also under the purview of police investigation. However, concrete action could not be taken after the survey.
In most of the cases, it was found that local leaders had helped them in getting their Indian citizenship certificates like birth certificate, Aadhaar card, ration card made. Most of them claimed to be residents of Assam, for which police teams were sent to investigate. Like Lucknow, a large number of these infiltrators have reached Uttarakhand including districts like Moradabad, Rampur, Muzaffarnagar, Bijnor, Bareilly, everyone’s birth certificates, Aadhaar cards etc. have been made.
It is not that all these things are hidden from anyone, but despite the opposition of many voluntary organizations, this matter is not able to come out of the cold storage. Last year, on the instructions of Prashant Kumar, who was ADG Law and Order, a campaign was also launched in many districts to arrest Rohingya citizens. After the disclosure of the case of making fake certificates in Rae Bareli, orders have been given to investigate it in the entire state. If highly placed sources are to be believed, DMs of all the districts have been asked to investigate the birth certificates and submit a report. At the same time, the police has also been ordered by the DGP headquarters to cooperate in the investigation. The responsibility of investigating the role of PFI members in making certificates has been given to the ATS. Let us tell you that after a big case of making fake certificates came to light in Rae Bareli, the state government has taken it seriously. Police of both the states had reached Rae Bareli to investigate the case of making birth certificates of a PFI member from Kerala and a youth from Karnataka. After this, on the complaint of local BJP MLA Ashok Kumar Kori, CDO conducted an investigation and it was revealed that 20 thousand fake certificates were made. After this, a case was also registered. After the roots of the case were linked to Kerala, Karnataka, Maharashtra, ATS has been asked to investigate.
If sources are to be believed, this fraud is going on in many districts of the state. Apart from PFI, many NGOs are also suspected to be involved in this. After making fake certificates, the infiltrators are sent to other states. In July last year, ATS had also launched a campaign to arrest illegal Bangladeshi and Rohingya citizens, in which 74 Rohingya citizens were caught. According to police and administrative sources, most of the fake certificates of minorities have been made in Rae Bareli. These also include the names of four Bangladeshis caught in Mumbai in 2023.
