Governor Haribhau Bagde said on Thursday that the purpose of education should not be merely granting degrees but should be to increase the intellectual capacity of the person. The Governor said that in school, college and university, education should be imparted not only on the basis of book course but on practical knowledge so that the intellectual capacity of the person can be increased.
