Let us tell you that on the night of March 20, 2000, the massacre of 36 Sikh villagers was held by Pakistan-sponsored terrorists in Chitrsingpora village in Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir just before US President Bill Clinton’s visit on March 21-25. The then Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee raised the issue of Pakistan’s involvement before Clinton. At that time Clinton was on a tour of Jaipur and Agra, while Foreign Minister Medaline Albreight and Deputy Foreign Minister Stob Talbot were in Delhi to interact with Indian officials.

Two years later, when US Assistant Foreign Minister Christina B Roca was on a visit to India, a terrorist attack took place on 14 May 2002 near Kaluchak in Jammu and Kashmir. Three terrorists attacked the bus of Himachal Road Transport Corporation from Manali to Jammu and killed seven people. He then entered the army’s family quarters and fired indiscriminately, killing 23 people, including 10 children, eight women and five military personnel. The slain children were between four and 10 years old. 34 people were injured in the attack.
