Those who underestimate us will have to regret it… MP Sandeep Pathak’s statement amid speculations of AAP-Congress alliance

Amid uncertainty over a possible alliance with the Congress for the upcoming Haryana Assembly elections, AAP national secretary (organisation) Sandeep Pathak said at a press conference that the party is fully prepared to contest all 90 seats in the Haryana elections with full strength. Those who underestimate us will regret it in the future, the AAP leader stressed. He said we are fully prepared and waiting for the party’s order. As soon as we get the word ‘go’, we will declare everything. We are ready to contest all seats with full strength and those who underestimate us will regret it in the future.

The alliance talks between the AAP and Congress are stalled due to disagreements over seat sharing. Reportedly, the AAP has requested 10 seats, while the Congress is offering five to seven seats. Haryana goes to polls on October 5 and the last date for filing nominations is September 12. Earlier, AAP chief national spokesperson Priyanka Kakkar said discussions were on and hoped that “some conclusion” would emerge. When asked how many seats the AAP would contest if the alliance with the Congress is finalised, she said, “Talks are on, so it is too early to comment.”
