Two arrested for forgery in the name of getting job abroad, 22 fake passports recovered

Kaushambi police of Ghaziabad district has arrested two fraudsters for allegedly cheating in the name of getting jobs in Azerbaijan. Police gave this information on Friday.

The victim of fraud, Dakshinachal Kumar (30), resident of Vaishali Sector-3, had lodged a complaint on December 19. Acting on the complaint, Kaushambi police arrested the accused from Vaishali on Friday on the basis of CCTV footage and information received from other sources.

The arrested accused have been identified as Manish Kumar (34), resident of Tughlakabad, Delhi, and Shahrukh Khan (24), resident of Inayatpur, Ayodhya district of Uttar Pradesh.

“The main accused Manish Kumar has confessed to running an office named Jai Ambe Enterprises in Vaishali Sector-1,” Indirapuram Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Swatantra Kumar Singh told reporters while quoting the interrogation of the accused.

From this office, he used to contact people and promise them lucrative jobs in Gulf countries like Dubai, Kuwait and Maldives. Singh said, “Accused Manish Kumar used to charge huge amount for this service and when a person When people asked for their money or visa back, he would prepare fake documents to influence them.”

Police said that 22 fake passports, two identity cards and other items were recovered from the accused. ACP Singh said, “The accused have been sent to jail after completing the legal process and further investigation in the case is going on.”
