At around 2.30 pm on Wednesday, a trailer -laden trailer truck overturned on the van in Jhabua district of Madhya Pradesh killed and injured two others. All the victims belonged to the same family, who were returning from a wedding ceremony. The accident occurred near Sanjeli Railway Crossing in Meghnagar tehsil area, where an under-construction rail over-bridge (ROB) was being constructed.

Jhabua Superintendent of Police Padmavilochan Shukla said, “The truck was crossing the railway over-bridge (ROB) under construction through a temporary road near Sanjeli railway crossing under Meghnagar tehsil area, when his balance deteriorated and he overturned on a van.”

The accident occurred at around 2.30 pm near Sanjeli Railway Crossing in Meghnagar tehsil of Jhabua district, where the truck was crossing the under-construction rail over-bridge (ROB) through a temporary road and its balance deteriorated.

Police said all nine victims were traveling in vans, which crushed under the weight of the truck. The case has been registered and investigation is on. According to the police, the cement -laden truck overturned on the Omni van near the under construction bridge. All the people in the van were residents of Shivgarh Mahuda in Meghnagar tehsil and were returning to their village after attending a wedding ceremony. Police teams from Thandla and Meghnagar have reached the accident site.

According to the information, 11 people were riding in the car and they were returning after attending a wedding ceremony. Meanwhile, on reaching Sajeli Gate, a truck full of cement overturned on the car and the car was shattered. According to the police, the deceased have been identified as Mukesh Khapeda (40), Vinod Khaped (16), Kumari Payal (12), Madibai (38), Vijay Bamaniya (14), Kumari Kanta (14), Ragini (9) and Shawali Parmar (35) and Akli Parmar (35), residents of Shivgarh Mahuda village.
