Uddhav Thackeray demanded Abu Azmi’s permanent suspension, also gave advice to Akhilesh Yadav

Shiv Sena (UBT) chief and former Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray criticized Samajwadi Party MLA Abu Azmi for his controversial remarks regarding Aurangzeb and demanded his permanent suspension from the state assembly. He said that he should be permanently suspended. This should not be just for the budget session, the suspension should be permanent. Earlier in the day, Abu Azmi was suspended by the Speaker of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly.

Meanwhile, Thackeray also criticized former UP CM and SP chief Akhilesh Yadav for supporting MLA Abu Azmi, who objected to his suspension. He told Akhilesh Yadav to contest Azmi from UP if he wants, because the whole of Maharashtra has objected to his statement. Talking to the media, Thackeray attacked Akhilesh and said, “If he wants to object, let him object. The whole of Maharashtra has objected to him. If he wants, he should contest elections from there (UP). He does not know the truth.”
Shiv Sena (UBT) MLA Aditya Thackeray said that if someone praises Aurangzeb or insults Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, there is no place for that person in India or Maharashtra. Abu Azmi is BJP’s B team. He said that whenever the BJP comes in trouble in Maharashtra, they activate Abu Azmi. This was what happened in the last session. BJP got into trouble in Maharashtra, so he activated Abu Azmi.

Significantly, Akhilesh Yadav objected to suspension through a post on X. He wrote that if the basis of suspension is affected by ideology, then what will be the difference between freedom and subordination of expression. Whether our MLAs or MPs are unmatched their fearless donation. If some people think that one can control the tongue of truth with ‘suspension’, then it is a childless of their negative thinking. Azad Khyal says today, BJP does not want!
