Overall, while the leaders of the BJP and its allies are praising this budget and calling it public welfare, the leaders of the opposition are criticizing it. Congress leader Jairam Ramesh lashed out at the budget and said that, the Finance Minister spoke about 4 engines. They are Agriculture, MSME, investment and export. These are so many engines that the budget has completely derailed. He further said, ‘It seems that Bihar has got the treasure of announcements in the budget. This is natural because elections are to be held at the end of the year. But why was the second pillar of NDA i.e. Andhra Pradesh so ruthlessly ignored? ‘
At the same time, Karti Chidambaram, son of Congress MP and former Finance Minister P. Chidambaram, said, ‘We need to see that the promises that were made in the earlier budget were fulfilled? The budget needs to be read to get a clear picture. The announcements made about Bihar were natural. This is politics.
Whereas Congress MP Manish Tiwari said, ‘I do not understand whether it was the budget of the Government of India or the Bihar government? Have you heard the name of any other state other than Bihar in the entire budget speech of the Union Finance Minister?
On the other hand, Shiromani Akali Dal MP Harsimrat Kaur Badal said, ‘Look at the names of the states- Bihar, where elections are going to be held. Only Bihar, Bihar, Bihar. There was no mention of Punjab. Farmers have been in protest for the last 4 years to demand a legal guarantee for the MSP. What he announced for the farmers, this was the anti -farmer budget, the farmers who are fighting for their rights, they were not heard, it is sad.
While RJD leader and former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar Tejashwi Yadav said that this budget is a copy of the previous budget. There is a village and anti -poor budget. Bihar has neither received anything nor does the Modi government of the Center want to give anything to Bihar. On the pretext of the budget, Tejashwi once again raised the issue of special package. He questioned where the money of Bihar’s special package went? Tejashwi said, ‘Chandrababu Naidu went with a package of 2 lakh crore and Nitish Kumar could not get anything to Bihar. Nitish is in unconscious state.
At the same time, Bahujan Samaj Party supremo Mayawati said on the Union Budget, ‘There is a tremendous hit of inflation, poverty, unemployment in the country. Along with this, there is a lack of essential basic facilities of roads, water, education, happiness and peace etc. Due to this, the lives of people in India with a huge population of about 140 crores are quite stricken, which is also required to be prevented through the Union Budget. But the budget of the present BJP government also seems to be more of political selfishness and less of public interest. If this is not the case, then why the lives of people in this government are constantly tight, bad and unhappy? It is also important to have a dream of developed India for the interests of Bahujans.
At the same time, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav said, ‘Not the budget … but the figures of those who died in Mahakumbh are more important. Why should we accept any data, people who cannot give the figures of those who die. ‘ At the same time, Aam Aadmi Party national convenor and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said, ‘A large part of the country’s treasury goes to waive the debt of a few rich billionaires. I had demanded that it should be announced in the budget that no billionaire loans would be waived from further. The money to avoid this should be exempted from middle class home loan and vehicle loan; Farmers’s debts should be forgiven. Income tax and GST tax rates should be halved. I am sad that this was not done. ‘
