UP DGP gave instructions for proper security arrangements at sensitive places before Navratri and Eid

Uttar Pradesh Director General of Police Prashant Kumar directed to deploy roftop duty with necessary equipment at sensitive places on Saturday before Navratri and Eid-ul-Fitr started.

DGP Kumar said in a series of instructions issued to senior police officers of the state on Saturday, “‘Rooftop Duty’ should be deployed with necessary equipment at sensitive places and appropriate police system should be ensured by identifying all important areas.”

He said that foot patrolling should be done around markets, crowded places and important business establishments and an anti-sabotage investigation should be done regularly.

He said that adequate fire arrangements should be made in the markets and animals should not be allowed to roam on the routes near Idgahs/Mosques during Namaz.

Instructions were also given that on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr and Ram Navami, the district should be divided into sector and zone and police pickets, static magistrates and gazetted officers along with magistrates and adequate police forces should be deployed at sensitive places. He directed that adequate security arrangements should be made on Ramnavami at railway stations, bus stations, markets, crowds, venues, entertainment centers etc.
