Two children and their father died in a road accident on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway in Bangarmau area of Unnao district. According to the police, the accident occurred in the Bangarmau Kotwali area in the morning, when a car lost control and crossed the divider and collided with a tempo traveler coming from the opposite direction. Bangarmau Police Officer (CO) Arvind Kumar said, the police got information about the accident at around 5.30 am.

Raghavendra was working as a Diwan in the state secretariat. In this accident, his wife Deeksha alias Nandini (35) suffered serious injuries and was first taken to the district hospital. According to the police, Deeksha was later transferred to a private hospital in Kanpur for better treatment. Police said that a dozen passengers aboard the Tempo Traveler suffered minor injuries, but no one of them was reported to have died. The police is investigating the cause of the accident.
