Many people were injured when a roadways bus fell into a 100 meter deep gorge in Nainital, Uttarakhand on Wednesday. This accident happened in Bhimtal area. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Nainital, Prahlad Meena, confirmed that a relief team has been sent to the accident site.

Rescue operations are underway, with a team of the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) working in coordination with local police, fire personnel and local residents to assist the affected people. SSP Nainital Prahlad Meena said, “Today on 25 December 2024, information was received from District Control Room, Nainital that a roadways bus had met with an accident near Bhimtal, on which SDRF rescue teams rushed to the spot from Posts Nainital and Khairna. Are.”

CM Dhami’s reaction
Meanwhile, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed grief over the incident. CM wrote on Twitter, “The news of the bus accident near Bhimtal is very sad. Instructions have been given to the local administration for immediate relief and rescue operations. I pray to Baba Kedar for the safety of all the passengers.”
