Aam Aadmi Party convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday urged voters to make his party victorious in the Visavadar assembly by-election in Gujarat to make the ruling BJP strongly slapped the mouth to buy and sell MLAs. The Visavadar seat was vacant after Aam Aadmi Party MLA Bhupendra Bhayani resigned in December 2023 and later joined BJP.

Now win our candidate by heavy votes and it will be a strong slap on the BJP’s mouth.
Kejriwal said that the BJP has won in Gujarat, but not in Visavadar. Former Delhi Chief Minister Kejriwal and Atishi and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann campaigned for AAP candidate Gopal Italia and also did a road show in the presence of the party’s state unit president Isudan Garhvi. Later, Italia filed her nomination papers, the last date of which is 2 June. The Bharatiya Janata Party and the Congress have not announced their candidates for both by -elections.
