In the Balochistan case, Pakistan continued to make mistakes from the beginning and the people of the area continued to bear it. But now the dam of patience of the Baloch public has been broken and if Balochistan separates from Pakistan tomorrow, it will not be surprising. If you look at the situation in Balochistan, then this area filled with struggle seems to be becoming a pile of gunpowder due to the growing rebellion and resistance movement against the Government of Pakistan. The Balochistan Liberation Army is intent on making the region independent. But the intensive campaign against the Balochistan Liberation Army and its leaders by the Pakistani Army and the police has also created difficulties for them. But the Baloch feels that the life of slavery and poverty has lived as his ancestors lived, he and their future generations will not be forced to spend. For this, Baloch rebels are ready to go to any extent in the fight against Pakistani security forces. Meanwhile, the Pakistan Police has made a mistake that has provoked the fire of rebellion in Balochistan. In fact, the Pakistan Police has recently detained Meharang Baloch, a major human rights activist and symbol of Baloch aspirations, which has further increased the unrest. Mehrang has been included in 100 emerging leaders by Time magazine.
Let us tell you that the arrest of about 150 activists, including Maharang Baloch, has been condemned internationally and concerns about human rights violations and suppression of Baloch voices in Pakistan are being seen globally. Let us tell you that Pakistani authorities have arrested Mahrang under allegations of terrorism, treason and murder after a protest in Balochistan’s capital Quetta. It is noteworthy that Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) leader and a medical doctor, Mehrang Baloch, has been vocal against the forcible disappearance in Balochistan and the murders committed by the police and army.

Let us also tell you that Ikra Baloch, sister of Mehrang Baloch, has condemned her arrest, saying that her journey in jail is reminiscent of the time when she saw her father behind bars 18 years ago. He wrote, “At that time, Maharang was with us. Today, he is not.” Let us tell you that his father Abdul Ghaffar Langov was a nationalist leader who was forcibly disappeared in 2009 and his body was found in Lasbela district after three years. Since then, Mehrang had decided to forcibly disappear and fight against just killings. Now, who has been 32 years old, despite all the obstacles, he is actively continuing his mission. Threats of death they get, travel restrictions and custody on them are not able to stop them. Let us remind you that in December 2023, he also helped to organize a big March in Islamabad, demanding action against the police in the case of forcibly disappearance. Even then the police had committed atrocities and action is still being taken against them. Mehrang’s family has also alleged that the authorities have refused to allow them to meet him or deliver food in jail.
Let us tell you that due to the ongoing human rights abuses in Balochistan, many people have become radical. Voice for Baloch Missing Persons reported that about 1,500 missing persons have been found dead since 2009, often cruel tortured, while 6,000 are still stated to be missing. Human rights groups say that the judicial killings are increasing, but the army denies this. That is why Pakistan has been struggling with separatist rebellion in Balochistan for many years, targeting terrorist groups and foreign nationals.
On the other hand, the arrest of Mehrang Baloch is raising the voice against Pakistan’s policies in Balochistan. International groups are also speaking openly against Pakistan, so in view of the exaggeration of the occasion, former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan, who has been jailed since August 2023, has said that Balochistan province is currently under an “illegal government”. Imran Khan has said on the social media platform ‘X’ that how can an illegal government imposed on Balochistan solve any issue? He has said that as a Pakistani and a former Prime Minister, I am very concerned about the situation in Balochistan, where there has been a sharp increase in terrorism. Imran Khan said, “Firing on peaceful protesters, violence and illegal arrests by the state are equally disturbing.”
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan has said that the situation in Balochistan cannot improve until the real public representatives are brought into the mainstream, their voice is not heard honestly and the fate of the area is not decided according to the wishes of the people. He has warned that the issue can never be resolved by force, as it will further deepen the crisis and will increase the instability. Imran Khan has said that the puppet government imposed through fraudulent elections in 2024 has failed on all fronts, its foreign policy is completely disastrous. He said, “We can deal with terrorism by interacting with Afghanistan. We share a 2,200 km long border with Afghanistan and peaceful conversation is the only way to move forward. During our (PTI’s) tenure, despite the stressful ties with the Afghan government at that time, we had a direct conversation with him. “He said,” The policies we implemented in three years were successfully eliminated terrorism. However, after our tenure, many issues came up by adopting the policy of Biden (former US President Joe Bidon) and today, the public is suffering as growing terrorism. ”Imran Khan said that the Shahbaz Sharif government of Pakistan has not yet taken any serious diplomatic initiative with Afghanistan.
However, Pakistan’s largest and poorest province Baluchistan has now taken the resolution that the people are running the campaign there, the whole world is eyeing how successful they get in the campaign. The manner in which women have raised the voice of protests in Balochistan at this time are also showing that Daman has been era and the public is gearing up to bring permanent peace in Balochistan.
