The Election Commission on Sunday announced an important announcement that a total of five assembly seats in four Indian states will be held on June 19, and the counting of all these seats will be held on June 23. This decision has been taken to fill the vacancies arising on these seats, which have been due to the death or resignation of the existing MLAs.
Two of these assembly seats are in Gujarat. The first Kadi is the seat, which is vacant after the unfortunate demise of current MLA Karsanbhai Punjabbhai Solanki. The second seat is Visavadar, where the by -election has become necessary due to the resignation of the current member Bhayani Bhupendrabhai Gandubhai.

In other states, the by -election will be held in the Nilambur seat in Kerala as its current member PV Anwar has resigned from his post. Similarly, Punjab’s Ludhiana seat is also under the by -election, as the current member Gurpreet Bassi Gogi has passed away. Finally, a by -election will also be held in Kaliganj assembly seat in West Bengal. The seat is vacant after the death of current assembly member Naseeruddin Ahmed.

The aim of these by -elections is to ensure that the representation of these assembly constituencies can be restored as soon as possible, and the local public can get their chosen representatives. The Election Commission has completed preparations for these by -elections and all necessary steps are being taken to ensure fair and smooth election process.
