While returning to Washington, Donald Trump said to reporters in Air Force One that French President Emmanuel Macron is wrong to say that the US is working on a ceasefire. Trump said that we are expecting better than the ceasefire. We are not expecting a ceasefire. He said that Macron is a good person, but they are often unable to take the right decision. Trump said he was not denying diplomatic options, and he could send Vice President JD Vance and Special Envoy Steve Witchoff to meet the Iranians.
US President Donald Trump left the G-7 summit and left home on Monday for immediate talks with his national security team.
