After the victory in the Delhi Assembly elections, the BJP has become renewed for the organization elections in 50 percent of the states under the party constitution for the election of the national president. Selected states have been directed to hold organization elections by 14 March. So far, the party has been able to hold organizational elections in only 12 out of the 18 states required to meet the test of 50 percent. According to a BJP source, in the next few days, the party will work hard to conduct its organizational elections in the remaining six states.
The main focus of the BJP will be on the south in the coming years, so there is a possibility that the next BJP president will come from the south of Vindhya. The name of Union Coal and Mines Minister Kishan Reddy, who was also the BJP president of Andhra Pradesh, is in the discussion. Incidentally, he comes from the state that gave birth to Bangaru Laxman, who later became the national president of the BJP. Another name which is in discussion from South is also from Andhra Pradesh – Daggubati Purandeshwari, who is currently BJP chief in the NDA -ruled state.
