Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Sanjay Singh has told a Goa court that he will not make any derogatory remarks against Sulakshana Sawant, wife of Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant. Sanjay Singh’s lawyer gave this information while presenting his case in the First Class Judicial Magistrate (JMFC) court of Bicholim.

This case is related to the Rs 100 crore defamation suit filed by Sulakshana Sawant. The Chief Minister’s wife had accused Sanjay Singh of allegedly taking her name in a money-for-job scam. The court had given time till Friday seeking reply from Sanjay Singh in this matter. Now the next hearing of this case will be on January 24.

Sulakshana Sawant had filed this petition in the court of Civil Judge (Senior Division) located in Bicholim, North Goa. In his complaint, he had demanded from the court that a public apology should be made from Sanjay Singh in this matter and it should be made clear that the related videos, articles, or interviews are false and not based on facts. Also, Sulakshana Sawant had requested the court to restrain Sanjay Singh from making any public comments against her on social media or other forums.
