MNS chief Raj Thackeray met his cousin and Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray at a wedding ceremony in Mumbai, which intensified speculation that he could be willing to resolve his political differences before the civil elections in Maharashtra. Cousin, who has been politically separated, was seen together at the wedding of Mahendra Kalyankar’s son in Andheri area on Sunday evening.

Political observers said that there is a possibility that MNS and Army (UBT) want to solve their political differences in view of the cash-rich Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation to be held in the state. The body election schedule has not been announced yet.
This was the third public meeting between the cousins in the last two months, which intensified the softening of the relationship between the two parties. Raj Thackeray left the Shiv Sena (undivided) in 2005 and formed his party the following year. Last year, in the 288 -member Maharashtra Legislative Assembly elections, the opposition MVA, Shiv Sena (UBT) won 20 seats, while MNS did not get a single seat.
