This year, a total of 581 companies of various Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) will be deployed for Shri Amarnath Yatra. This pilgrimage to be held from July 3 to August 9 will be held for the first time in a short period of 38 days.

The Amarnath Yatra will include millions of Lord Shiva devotees from across the country and abroad. This annual spiritual journey of the Holy Amarnath cave, where the naturally made ice Shivling is worshiped, is one of the most prestigious Hindu pilgrims. The Amarnath Yatra has been officially fixed on 3 July 2025, and the journey will end on 9 August 2025, which is the day of Raksha Bandhan. Security preparations for the Amarnath Yatra are also in full swing.

This year, a total of 581 companies of various Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) will be deployed for Shri Amarnath Yatra. In addition to these measures, the broad deployment will include road opening parties (ROP) to secure and clean the routes, quick action team (QAT) for immediate response to the dangers, explosives, explosives, bomb disposal squad (BDS), 9 units (BDS) to detect explosives (BDS) (specially trained investigative dogs) and drones for aerial monitoring. These arrangements will be applicable to both Pahalgam and Baltal routes for the Amarnath cave temple in Jammu and Kashmir.
