By standing in the Canadian Parliament, a Hindu leader has surprised the whole world. This Hindu leader has given a statement which no Canadian leader had the courage to give. This Hindu MP belongs to Justin Trudeau’s party. Seeing the silence of his own party, Canadian MP Chandra Arya’s anger burst out in support of Bangladeshi Hindus. Chandra Arya exposed the fundamentalist government of Bangladesh in the Canadian Parliament. Speaking in the House of Commons, Arya said that I am a Canadian Hindu. I am very worried about the Hindus of Bangladesh. Those whose families are in Bangladesh are worried about the safety of their families, their temples and their properties. Hindus are being targeted in Bangladesh. Chandra Arya said that whenever there is instability in Bangladesh, the Hindus have to bear the biggest brunt of it.

Arya also said that Canadian Hindus living in Bangladesh are worried about the safety of their relatives and property. Arya said that to raise awareness, they are planning a rally in front of the Canadian Parliament on September 23, which will also see the participation of Canadian Buddhist and Christian families from Bangladesh.

Attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh
Since the recent coup in Bangladesh, widespread violence has erupted across the country, with attacks on Hindus in 27 districts. Hindu temples have been heavily targeted in the unrest. Jamaat-e-Islami in Bangladesh has admitted that religious minorities, including Hindus and their places of worship, have been specifically targeted after the resignation of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Apart from this, leaders of Hasina’s party Awami League are also being killed and their houses are being set on fire, which has further increased the unrest in the country.
My statement in parliament today:
Madam Speaker,
I am deeply concerned by violence targeting religious minorities, including Hindus, Buddhists and Christians in Bangladesh.
Every time there is instability in Bangladesh, religious minorities, particularly Hindus, face the brunt.… pic.twitter.com/FOMCVbBB5i— Chandra Arya (@AryaCanada) September 16, 2024
