Indian Railways: Amidst accidents, Indian Railways has formed Rail Rakshak Dal, Ashwini Vaishnav said – there will be a big improvement in security

Amid rising train accidents across India, the Indian Railways on Tuesday set up a quick response team called ‘Rail Rakshak Dal’ to deal with unforeseen situations. The force has been set up as part of a pilot project in the North Western Railway (NWR) zone. According to the Indian Railways, the Rail Rakshak Dal is capable of reaching the accident site quickly and can carry out swift rescue operations.

Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that the development of Kavach started in 2016 and till 2019, a lot of development took place, certification was done, even after that many improvements were made in it, new versions were brought and on August 16, version 4.0 was approved and its first installation has been done between Sawai Madhopur to Kota. He said that testing has been done, today was the inspection. If the train is approaching the red signal and the driver is not paying attention, then Kavach will automatically apply the brakes. This has brought about a big improvement in the safety of the railways.
During the launch, North Western Railway RPF IG Jyoti Kumar Satija called it a proud moment as it is the first time that RPF has been involved in the rescue process. He said that it is a proud moment for us that our Railway Minister has taken this initiative for quick response in rescue during any accident. NWR has been given this responsibility in the pilot project. This is the first time that RPF is being involved in the rescue process.

Meanwhile, Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav inspected Kawah 4.0 on a train in Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan. After the inspection, he said that Kawach 4.0 started for the first time from Sawai Madhopur. He said that 10,000 locomotives will be covered with armor in the coming years. He said that Kawach 4.0 has started for the first time in India from Sawai Madhopur. The work of installing armor in this area has been completed, this is just the beginning, in the coming years 10 thousand locomotives will be covered with armor and 9 thousand kilometers of additional armor work will be done.
