Dead body of a woman working in a garment factory found in Ghaziabad, investigation continues

Police found the body of a 55-year-old woman in the forest near Mandola village in Ghaziabad. Police suspect that the woman may have been murdered after rape. Giving information about the incident on Friday, a police officer said that it would be too early to confirm whether it was rape before the postmortem report comes.

Police said on Friday that the victim, a resident of Tronica City police station area, used to work as a thread cutter in a jeans factory. According to her son, she had left the factory at her usual time of 8:30 pm on Thursday night but by 9:30 pm Had not returned home.

According to police, the woman’s son said that the family, worried about her not returning home, contacted her co-workers, who informed them that she had left on time. On receiving the news of a dead body being found in the forest, the victim’s son on Friday morning identified his mother’s body, which was lying semi-nude with injury marks on her head, face and private parts and her earrings were also missing.

Rural Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Surendra Nath Tiwari said it was too early to confirm whether the woman was raped and then murdered. We are waiting for the post mortem report. “No signs of struggle were found at the scene.”

He said the police are collecting evidence by reviewing CCTV footage and a sniffer dog squad and forensic team have been deployed to collect samples in connection with the investigation.
