Uttar Pradesh: Four accused sentenced to life imprisonment in the case of murder of two brothers

A court in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, sentenced four people to life imprisonment for shooting dead two brothers and injuring another person by shooting. An official gave this information on Thursday.

District Judge Vivek Sangal found the accused Mahendra Singh, Hakim Singh, Mukesh and Sachin guilty in the incident that took place on November 25, 2018, and sentenced them to life imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 84 thousand.

All the accused are residents of Jajau village of Fatehpur Sikri police station area. The District Judge also ordered acquittal of other accused Suresh alias Surendra Singh, Balveer Singh and Dolu in this case due to lack of evidence.

According to officials, plaintiff Than Singh had alleged that the accused had made fun of him for not being included in a function on November 17, 2018.

He said that due to the same quarrel, the accused later, armed with weapons, entered the house at around 8 am on November 25, 2018, and opened fire, in which the plaintiff’s two sons, Anil and Lalit, were injured.

The officer said that both of them died while being taken to the hospital while a person named Ganga Prasad was admitted to the hospital. He told that on the complaint of the plaintiff, a case was registered against the accused under sections of murder, attempt to murder and other sections.
