Chillai Kalan, the most severe winter period of 40 days in Kashmir, started from today. Today is also celebrated as International Fern Day. Kashmiri people celebrate Chillai Kalan and Pheran Day with great pomp. This time too a large number of local people and tourists gathered at the historic Lal Chowk of Srinagar. This time on International Fern Day, people also wore Fern to the cutout of Prime Minister Narendra Modi installed at Lal Chowk.

Meanwhile, while talking to Sarkari Result Daily, Chairman of All India Modi Fans Association, Jamal Budgami said that like last year, even today we made Modi ji wear pheran. We want Ferrán to become famous internationally. He said that I am happy that the people of the country like our pheran. He said that I request the countrymen to make Pheran famous.
