They are actively trying to destroy Bengali culture. “Sheikh Hasina targeted the interim government of Bangladesh, saying,” Whenever anti -freedom forces gained power in the past, they attacked the history, heritage and culture of the country. He said, “Come, let us drive away the anti-liberation and anti-culture forces and raise the head of Bangladesh on the global stage. Fundamentalists made a big announcement
Let us also tell you that Khilafat Majlis, the right -wing Islamist Party of Bangladesh, will demand a collective march and memorandum towards the Indian Embassy in Dhaka on April 23 and will demand the cancellation of the Waqf (Amendment) Act passed by the Indian Parliament and the frequent killings of Muslims across India. According to the report, Maulana Mamunul Haq, the head of Khilafat Majlis, announced that the land of Muslims had been encroached in India. Maulana’s inflammatory speech also stated that “by encroaching or illegally occupying the private and Waqf properties of Muslims, they are constructing various structures including temples there”. Maulana Mamunul Haq said, “The Hindutva BJP government has been killing Muslims all over India for a long time. They have left the party’s extremist Hindu terrorists to Muslims.” The address further claimed that the Waqf (Amendment) Act, 2025 has been passed to give legal framework for these encroachments and acquisitions. He said that we have already expressed our anger and condemnation on these steps. He said that Muslims across India protested against the bill. Maulana said that this bill originally interferes with the religious laws and rights of Muslims. Maulana said that the Muslim world should speak against India’s assassination of Muslims and its intervention in religious matters.
He said that the Government of India and its “low-quality media” are constantly propagating the oppression of minorities in Bangladesh worldwide. Along with this, the leaders of Khilafat Majlis called upon the Bangladesh government to immediately express their concern and oppose the killing of Muslims in India. According to media reports, party general secretary Maulana Jalaluddin Ahmed, senior leader Naib Amir Maulana Yusuf Ashraf, Maulana Razaul Karim Jalali, Maulana Afzalur Rahman and former MLAs Maulana Shaheenur Pasha Chaudhary and Maulana Kurban Ali were also present. A large -scale demonstration against the new amended Waqf Act of the Narendra Modi government was announced at the meeting of the Central Executive Council held at the party’s headquarters in Dhaka.
