Lieutenant Governor Vinay Kumar Saxena has today appointed Bharatiya Janata Party leader Arvinder Singh Lovely as Protem Speaker. The first session of the Delhi Assembly will be held on February 24 (Monday), where the Speaker will be elected at 2:00 pm. Earlier, the newly elected MLAs will participate in the swearing -in ceremony at 11 am. According to the Delhi Assembly Bulletin, LG Saxena will address the assembly on 25 February, after which the report of the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) will be presented.

Later during the day, the assembly will be open to the LG’s address to the proposal. On February 26, the discussion will begin on the vote of thanks on the LG’s address at 11 am, after which the Deputy Speaker of the Delhi Assembly will be elected. The bulletin states that the notice of the proposal for the election of the chairman, the Secretary, the Legislative Assembly can be given to the Legislative Assembly on Saturday, 22 February, before noon. BJP leader Rekha Gupta, who was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Delhi on Thursday, chaired the first meeting of his cabinet a few hours later and announced two major decisions – Ayushman Bharat Yojana with a top -up of Rs 5 lakh Applying to and presenting 14 pending CAG reports in the first meeting of the Legislative Assembly.

Addressing a press conference, Rekha Gupta also announced the departments of her Council of Ministers. This was the pre -election promise of the BJP, which targeted the AAP government for not implementing the plan. He also announced to present the CAG report, which the AAP government did not present.
