Due to which this time in view of the huge crowd coming for Mahakumbh, the area of Kumbh Mela area has been increased to 4000 hectares. After a long time of preparations, now the time has come when the huge event of Maha Kumbh, a confluence of religion, spirituality and faith of the followers of Sanatan Dharma on the wonderful divine banks of Triveni, is going to start on 13th January and will continue till 26th February. If we take a look at the budget for organizing Mahakumbh 2025 this time, the expenditure for organizing Mahakumbh is estimated to be around Rs 7,500 crore. Out of which Rs 2,100 crore has been allocated by the Central Government, while the Uttar Pradesh government has set a huge budget of Rs 5,435.68 crore. Whereas in the year 2019, there was a budget of Rs 4,200 crore for the Kumbh Mela. From the economic point of view, like every Kumbh Mela, this time too Mahakumbh is likely to have a huge contribution in the GDP of the country, due to which the fair area is doing a good job of attracting small and big traders, shopkeepers etc. Yes, people are excited to do various types of business in the Mahakumbh area.
However, according to Sanatan Dharma culture and traditions, this entire period of Mahakumbh is a grand divine gathering of rituals. A model of cleanliness will be presented in Mahakumbh to implement ‘Swachh Bharat Mission’. Yogi government has made complete preparations to present Mahakumbh as a model of cleanliness in front of the country and the world. In view of the Swachh Mahakumbh, this time the Yogi government has built 1.5 lakh toilets, 25 thousand dustbins have been installed in the fair area, 15 thousand sanitation workers have been deployed, and 160 waste management vehicles have been arranged.
To make Maha Kumbh divine and grand, beautification of temples and ghats has been done on a large scale, 29 temples have been beautified, 11 corridors have been developed, 12 km temporary ghat has been constructed, 8 km river front. Roads have been built.
For the successful organization of Maha Kumbh, the largest temporary city has been built, 1.5 lakh tents have been installed, 69 thousand LED lighting and solar hybrid street lighting have been installed. More than 400 kilometers of temporary roads and check-order plate sheets have been built.
Prayagraj has been prepared as a smart city for the preparations for Mahakumbh.
Parking has been developed in an area of more than 1800 hectares,
201 roads were widened and strengthened, 40 junctions and 48 roads were beautified, 14 ROBs and flyovers were developed.
