According to ANI report, Air India on Friday announced the cancellation of several international and domestic flights due to maintenance and operational reasons. The affected flights include AI906 from Dubai to Chennai, AI308 from Delhi to Melbourne, AI309 from Melbourne to Delhi, AI2204 from Dubai to Hyderabad and domestic flights from Pune to Delhi AI874, Ai456 from Ahmedabad to Delhi, AI456, AI456 from Hyderabad to Mumbai and AI-2872 to Mumbai. The change in the Tata Group owned airline has occurred last week after a deadly AI171 accident in Ahmedabad, with about 297 people lost their lives, with 241 people aboard the aircraft. The only person aboard the plane in the accident survived miraculously.

Air India said the deduction was due to the security check and additional flight period conducted before the flight due to the closure of the airspace in the Middle East. CEO and Managing Director Campbell Wilson said that the airline will continue the security check on its Boeing 787 and 777 fleet. Air India is contacting affected passengers and offering them to re -place alternative flights as per their choice, re -renovation or give full refund.

Which flights have been canceled

Refund will be issued to passengers
Air India has assured the affected passengers to refund or honorary re -radiation and are assisting in an alternative travel system. The airline said, “We are sorry for the inconvenience to passengers. The colleagues on our ground are making alternative arrangements for them to fly to their destinations as soon as possible.”
