Akbaruddin Owaisi Vs Allu Arjun | Akbaruddin Owaisi’s big claim – After Stampede, Allu Arjun said – ‘Now the film will be a hit’. Sandhya Theater Stamped

AIMIM MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi attacked Telugu superstar Allu Arjun for his “insensitive” behavior and “lack of responsibility” after the stampede at the premiere of his blockbuster film ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ in Hyderabad. Speaking in the Telangana Assembly, Owaisi alleged that despite the death of a woman in the stampede, Allu Arjun watched the film and even waved to his fans while leaving.

Without naming the actor, Owaisi said, “As per my knowledge, when Allu Arjun was told about the stampede and the death of a person, he said ‘Now the film will be a hit’.”
The stampede took place on December 4 when a large number of fans thronged the Sandhya theater to catch a glimpse of Arjun and his Pushpa co-star Rashmika Mandhana. A 39-year-old woman died and her son was seriously injured in this incident. Police said that the theater management had not made any arrangements to handle the crowd.

Owaisi said, “Even after the stampede incident, he (Allu Arjun) watched the film and waved to the crowd from his car while returning. He did not even bother to inquire about the well-being of the crowd and his family. I too go to public meetings. I am here, where thousands of people come, but I ensure that there is no incident of stampede.”
Allu Arjun was arrested from his residence on December 13 in connection with this incident. The trial court had sent the actor to judicial custody for 14 days, but the Telangana High Court granted him interim bail on the same day. However, due to delay in uploading the copies of the bail order, Arjun had to spend a night in jail.
In his address to the Assembly, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy claimed that Allu Arjun attended the screening of Pushpa 2 despite not getting police permission. “The actor stood from the sunroof of his car and waved to the crowd before entering and exiting the theatre, due to which thousands of fans flocked to get a glimpse of him,” Reddy said.
