A US appellate court has laid a temporary stay on the order of a federal judge in which President Donald Trump was instructed to remove the soldiers of ‘National Guard’ from California.
Trump deployed the soldiers in California after demonstrations in Los Angeles to protest against immigration raids. The court said that it would hear the matter on 17 June. This decision on Thursday night came a few hours after the order of the federal judge which was to be effective from Friday afternoon.
The judge ruled that the deployment of the army is illegal and a tenth amendment and a violation of Trump’s statutory rights. This order applies only to the soldiers of the ‘National Guard’, not on the Navy who were deployed during the protests of Los Angeles.

The police fired tear gas shells and arrested hundreds of people to disperse the crowd. Following protests against strict implementation of immigration laws, Trump ordered the deployment of about 4,000 soldiers of ‘National Guard’ and 700 Navy personnel in Los Angeles.
In view of the fierce protests, the authorities have imposed curfew in Los Angeles and Spochen. The Republican Governors of Texas and Missouri have asked military personnel to be ready to help law enforcement officers to deal with the demonstrations.
