Attack on Dalit girl getting married in marriage hall, 24 people filed a case

Police sources quoted the report filed on Sunday that Raghavendra Gautam, a resident of Mission Road in Rasra town of Rasra Kotwali area, told in the case that his sister was getting married on May 30 in a marriage hall in the town.

According to the complaint, after coming to the procession, at around 10.30 pm, Aman Sahni, Deepak Sahni, Rahul and Akhilesh of Mallah Toli brought sticks, rods and pipes with 15–20 unidentified people and started abusing them, as well as how to marry in the marriage hall even after the Dalit caste.

Sources said that according to Gautam, the attackers then attacked the people present at the wedding ceremony. Ajay Kumar and Manan Kant were seriously injured in this incident. Sources said that in this connection, a case has been filed against a total of 24 people, including 20 unidentified people, including Raghavendra Gautam’s Tahrir on Saturday, under the relevant sections of the Indian Justice Code and the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Prevention of Atrocities Act.
