The Indian Cricket Board has released strict guidelines for the IPL trophy winning teams. In fact, after winning the final of IPL 2025, RCB celebrated in Bengaluru but this celebration proved to be a deadly celebration, in which 11 people lost their lives. The celebration was going on at M Chinnaswamy Stadium and people were losing their lives outside the stadium.
The BCCI has become strict about the stampede incident of Bengaluru. After which the Indian Cricket Board has released strict guidelines for the IPL trophy winning teams. In fact, after winning the final of IPL 2025, RCB celebrated in Bengaluru but this celebration proved to be a deadly celebration, in which 11 people lost their lives. The celebration was going on at M Chinnaswamy Stadium and people were losing their lives outside the stadium. For this, the BCCI has now prepared some guidelines to ensure that it should not happen. After winning the IPL, teams will have to take permission from BCCI for any event or road parade.
Speaking to India Today, BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia confirmed that the board is taking the matter with full seriously and taking every aspect of risk to avoid any accident in future. Saikia said that formal guidelines will now be mandatory for all teams wishing to celebrate publicly after IPL. The BCCI had dismissed what happened in the RCB event as no BCCI or any major IPL officer was present in the event.
At the same time, BCCI has prepared some guidelines, taking care of the Bangalore stampede, only after winning the IPL to complete, a team will be able to organize an event or do a road parade.
- No team will organize a celebration event for 3-4 days of winning the trophy.
- Quick action will not be allowed to avoid haste and poor management.
- Before organizing any event, teams will have to take formal permission from BCCI.
- Will be able to organize an event only after the board’s clearance.
- Security protocols of 4 to 5 layers have to be followed.
- The security of many layers should be present during every venue and travel.

- Players and support staff should get complete security throughout the event.
- The district police, state government and local authority should be allowed for the event.
- Civil and law enforcement bodies should be allowed to conduct the event legal and safely.
