After further evaluation by the Protiaz Medical Team, it was decided that these symptoms have increased the risk of serious injury to the high bowling load required for the upcoming 50 -over match. Cricket South Africa also confirmed the Garal Coitzi will not be available for selection for the Champions Trophy 2025 starting on February 19. The statement said, the names of Koetzi will not be considered for the selection of the ParascC Champions tropy 2025.

Gerald Koetzi was earlier dropped from the SA20 tournament due to hamstring injury.
