A top leader of Naxalites has been killed in an encounter with security forces in Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh. Police officials gave this information on Thursday. According to sources, Kasadasya Gautam alias Sudhakar, the Central Committee of Maoists, has been killed in this encounter, however, it has not been officially confirmed yet.
Police officials said that Gautam alias Sudhakar, a member of the Central Committee in Indravati National Park area of Bijapur district, Bandi Prakash, member of Telangana State Committee, Dandakaranya Special Zonal Committee member Pappa Rao and some other armed Maoist cadres, District Reserve Guard (DRG), Special Work Force (STF) and Central Revil Police Force (CRPF) COBAR BABAL (CRPF) Was left in the opposing campaign.
He said that during the anti -Naxal campaign in the area, an encounter between security forces and Naxalites took place. According to preliminary information, security forces have killed a top leader of Naxalites in the encounter.
Officials said the search operation is going on in the area. More information is being collected regarding the bodies and goods recovered from the scene. He informed that there is also information about getting great success in this encounter.
Earlier, security forces killed the banned Indian Communist Party (Maoist) general secretary Basavaraju and 26 other Naxalites during an encounter in the forest of Abujhmad, located on the border of Bijapur-Narayanpur district of the state on 21 May.
