Javed has allegedly been involved in subversive activities in the valley and was wanted by Jammu and Kashmir Police for a long time. The official said Tehreek-e-Mujahideen is controlled from Pakistan and has links with other terrorist organizations in the Valley, Pakistan and Bangladesh.
Javed’s family members said that he is a resident of Srinagar, but they are not aware of his connection with any terrorist organization and if the allegations are found true then the law should take its course.
Let us tell you, this arrest has taken place after the recent arrest of eight suspected members of the terrorist organization Ansar-al-Islam Bangladesh, who were planning to target the ‘Chicken Neck’ connecting Siliguri in West Bengal with the North-Eastern states. Of the eight arrested, two were from Murshidabad district and were part of a group of eight arrested by Bengal, Kerala and Assam police.
