Delhi Health Minister Pankaj Singh said on Monday that a total of 104 active cases of Kovid-19 have been reported in the national capital. Of these, 99 cases have been reported in the last seven days.Singh said“There is nothing to panic. So far people affected by the new variant of Kovid are only seeing symptoms like viral fever. We have advised hospitals to keep beds, oxygen, essential medicines and equipment ready under standard procedure.

According to the latest data released by the Ministry of Health, the active cases in a week increased from 257 to 1,009, there are 1,009 active cases of Kovid-19 in the country, 752 more than 257 active cases of the previous week. The most active cases in Kerala are (430), followed by Maharashtra (209), Delhi (104) and Gujarat (83).
In Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Haryana, some cases of Kovid-19 have also been reported last week. Dr. Bahl said that the cases of Kovid-19 in India first increase in southern India, then in western India and now also from northern India.

Dr. Bahl said, “We are monitoring all cases through IDSP (Integrated Disease Monitoring Program). In addition, there is a respiratory virus watchdog monitoring network across the country that keeps a close watch on the newly emerging sub-types.” Dr. Romal Tikku, director of internal medicine at Max Saket, said there is nothing to panic as most patients with infection have mild symptoms like normal flu.We do not recommend covid tests for all people with fever, cough and cold. But, due to the nervousness and anxiety arising out of the boom in cases, some patients have come to us positive for covid testing.
The most active Kovid cases in India are in Kerala. According to data from the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, with 430 active Kovid-19 cases, Kerala currently has the most active cases in the country. Two deaths from Kovid-19 have also been recorded in Kerala this month.
As of May 19, there were 95 active Kovid-19 cases in Kerala. Within a week, active cases increased by about five times, indicating rapid spread of Kovid-19 infection in the state. However, doctors treating Kovid-19 patients said that most of the patients are cured without being admitted to any hospital.
