The program of Shri Amarnath Yatra 2025 has been announced. Devotees will be able to visit Baba Barfani from 3 July to 9 August. Devotees will have 39 days to see Baba Barfani. A meeting was held under the leadership of Amarnath Shrine Board Chairman and LG Manoj Sinha of Jammu and Kashmir. Senior officials like DGP Nalin Prabhat and Chief Secretary Atal Dullu were also present. The last dates of the Amarnath Yatra were approved in this meeting. Devotees can now visit Baba Barfani from 3 July to 9 August.

Every year Amarnath Yatra used to run for 45 to 60 days. Last year, devotees visited Baba Barfani from 29 June to 19 August. However, this year Amarnath Yatra will run for only 39 days. The trust and the government have made special arrangements for the journey this time. There will be special facilities for the safety of devotees, their stay and anchor (community food). According to Vijay Sharma Kailashi, general secretary of Shiv Shakti Parivar Telco, Shri Amarnath Shrine Board has increased the online registration quota, ensuring that more pilgrims can participate.

The registration process will start from March 15, in which permits will be issued on the first come, first serve basis. Offline registration will be available on 562 designated branches of Jammu and Kashmir Bank, Yes Bank, Punjab National Bank (PNB) and State Bank of India (SBI). According to the guidelines, children below the age of 13 and will not be eligible for adult registration over 75 years of age. Additionally, pregnant women above six weeks will also be banned from registration. All passengers will have to submit a mandatory health certificate before starting the journey. In addition, each pilgrim will be allowed only a travel permit, which will not be transferable.
