Delhi Police arrested Rohini’s sharpshooter of Gogi-Chara gang from Rohini

The Crime Branch of Delhi Police arrested the 23-year-old Sharpshooter of the Gogi-Ankesh Lakra gang from Rohini area. The officials gave this information on Thursday.

Police said that the accused has been identified as Vishal Lakra, who is a close associate of Ankesh Lakra. Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) of the Crime Branch Satish Kumar said that the police arrested Vishal from Rohini on 25 February and seized a pistol and two cartridges from him.

The DCP said, “The accused has been booked under several sections of arms law. During interrogation, he told that one and one pistol and cartridges were kept at his house, after which the police recovered a pistol and two more cartridges. ”

According to the official, Vishal also admitted to being an active member of the Gogi-Chala gang and said that both he and Ankesh Lakra are originally from Mundka village in Delhi. Vishal has been jailed twice before.

Kumar said that while going to jail for the second time, he became close to Ankesh Lakra, whom he considers his guru. The DCP said, “Recently Vishal’s close aide Amit Lakra was murdered by rival Neeraj Bawana gang members, causing Ankesh to be very hurt and resolved to take revenge.”

He said, Ankesh tasked Vishal to buy pistols and avenge Neeraj Bawana-Tunu gang. Vishal was waiting for further instructions, when he was arrested and illegal pistols were recovered.
