Delhi Police has registered an FIR against the newly elected Okhla MLA Amanatullah Khan and is looking for them. It is being claimed that his supporters forcibly rescued an accused of attempt to murder from police custody. Supporters of the MLA were allegedly involved in the attack on the team led by Crime Branch Inspector Sunil Kaalkhande. The crime branch had gone to Jamia Nagar area to arrest Shabaz Khan, the wanted accused in the case of attempt to murder.

A team of Delhi Police reached his residence in Okhla to arrest Khan. However, he was not present at home. The Delhi Police team went inside the house and investigated whether Khan is not really at home. After investigating at home, the Delhi Police team left the MLA’s house. The search for AAP MLA is going on. In the Delhi Assembly elections, Aam Aadmi Party leader Amanatullah Khan won the Okhla seat by more than 23,000 votes. He defeated Manish Chaudhary of BJP. Manish got a total of 65,304 votes, while Khan got a total of 88,943 votes.
