Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has sharply criticized the Congress party, terming their protest against Union Home Minister Amit Shah as ‘drama’. The protest was over Shah’s comments about Dr. BR Ambedkar. Fadnavis insisted that the Congress should apologize for wasting Parliament’s time and misrepresenting Shah’s comments. The Chief Minister underlined Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s point that the Gandhi family continuously opposed Ambedkar.

Speaking to reporters, Fadnavis reiterated his stand that Congress’ nationwide protests were mere drama. He said that the Congress party should first apologize for editing the statement of Home Minister Amit Shah and doing politics over it. He spoiled the Parliament session. Along with this, Fadnavis said that the way Prime Minister Modi exposed the Congress during his speech in the Parliament, how from Nehru to Indira, Rajiv to Sonia, the Congress continuously insulted the Constitution.

The BJP leader said that Congress is desperate after all this was exposed that from Nehru ji to Rahul Gandhi, Congress leaders have continuously insulted the Constitution and rejected reservation and out of frustration it is doing such things. This is the same Congress which continuously insulted Baba Saheb. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that Congress’s history has been of insulting the Dalits and the underprivileged in the country. The history of the Congress has been a part of the effort to completely deny the Dalits and the underprivileged their rights on the basis of appeasement. Congress did the work of bringing the country to the brink of division on the basis of appeasement. Jawaharlal Nehru did not want Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar to be a part of the Constituent Assembly.
