India A played a two-match unofficial Test series against Australia A, but lost both the matches. In the first match, India was defeated by Australia by 7 wickets and in the second match, India had to face defeat by 6 wickets.
During this test series, the performance of the Indian batsmen was not up to the mark and batsmen like Abhimanyu Easwaran, Sai Sudarshan, KL Rahul, Rituraj Gaikwad, Devdutt Padikkal, Ishan Kishan disappointed. In the second match too, where other Indian batsmen were seen struggling to score runs, Dhruv scored 80 runs in the first innings against Australia while in the second innings too he scored the highest of 68 runs.
Including these two innings, he scored a total of 148 runs and was the highest run-scoring Indian batsman in this Test series. After Dhruv, Devdutt Padikkal stood second in the list of batsmen who scored the most runs, who scored 151 runs in 4 innings, while Sai Sudarshan scored 127 runs in 4 innings and stood third. The most successful bowler from India in this Test series was Mukesh Kumar who took 11 wickets in his name.
