During his first joint joint address to the US Congress on Tuesday after returning to the White House in January, Donald Trump made adventurous promises to recover the Panama Canal, and invited Greenland to join the United States. Just a month after becoming President, his speech was focused on the fact that he looks at important national security issues for the country both in the country and abroad. Trump has repeatedly promised to ‘capture’ Greenland and Panama Canal, with international criticism for his statements of keeping an eye on both these areas.

One of the most influential elements of Trump’s address was his firm vow to recover the Panama Canal, a strategic waterway that was handed over to Panama under a treaty during the Carter Administration in 1999. In his speech, Trump reiterated his long -standing claim that the canal was “given” and expressed displeasure over its current control. Trump also claimed that China had control over some port operations of the canal.
Trump appreciated his Foreign Minister Marco Rubio and described his plans to recover the Panama Canal. He said, “Best wishes, Marco. Now we know who should be convicted if something goes wrong. ” Trump also said that “We want Greenland. From his first term, Trump has shown interest in achieving Greenland, a semi-late area of Denmark. Denmark is the founding member of NATO. The President said that the US supports Greenland’s right to determine its own future, but will “welcome the country” to the US to national security and to make them prosperous. He said about Greenland, I think we will achieve it. Somehow, we will achieve it.
