In a recent meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the Islamic Cooperation Organization OIC in Türkiye, Pakistan also tried to intervene in India’s internal matters on the Kashmir issue using the OIC. India has clearly stated that OIC has no right to comment in this matter. OIC is under the influence of Pakistan and is making an inappropriate and factually wrong statement about Kashmir. The Ministry of External Affairs said in a detailed statement that these statements made by Pakistan, which converted terrorism into a governance, reflect the continuous misuse of the OIC forum for narrow political objectives. The Ministry of External Affairs said that the OIC has repeatedly failed to accept the actual threat of Pakistan sponsored terrorism, the most recent evidence of which was seen in the Pahalgam attack, reflecting the neglect of the facts intentionally. The Ministry of External Affairs said that at the behest of Pakistan, which converted theism into state skills, these statements reflect the continuous misuse of the OIC platform for narrow political purposes.
The OIC has no right to comment on India’s internal affairs including Jammu and Kashmir, which is an integral and sovereign part of India- a fact that is inherent in the Indian Constitution and is irreversible. This strict response of India came after the OIC’s Foreign Ministerial Conference in Turkas, in which New Delhi was criticized on several issues, including pushing Indian Muslims on ‘socially marginalized’. The OIC called for a strict adherence to bilateral agreements between India and Pakistan, including the Indus Water Treaty, and stressed the need for a wider -based dialogue for a peaceful resolution of all pending disputes.
