The Indian Air Force Apache attack helicopter made emergency landing on Thursday morning in Haleed village under the border of Nangalpur police station in Pathankot district of Punjab. According to initial reports, there is no news of someone being injured or any kind of damage. The helicopter flying from the Pathankot Air Force Station had to take a precautionary measure in the open field after allegedly facing technical difficulties. Spotlight on Apache helicopters
Apache AH-64E is one of the most sophisticated and deadly helicopters in the Indian Air Force fleet, equipped with advanced targeting, navigation and arms systems. These helicopters are important in both defensive and aggressive campaigns, including high altitude wars. Although repeated emergency landing has created concerns about the mechanical reliability of Indian Air Force aircraft, defense analysts say that such landing standard is part of the security protocol and is often done to prevent large disasters.
